Urban water sector reform has gone through five years, a number of influential companies have become as the industry leader, and each link its benchmarking companies and enterprises.
Pan Wengtang (the general manager of Beijing Capital Co.,Ltd ) stated that market is a good thing，but need government to monitor the reform. Meanwhile, he also said that the whole industry will face some challenges in the transition process.

Huang Xiaojun (the president of Veolia Water in China) proposed that not all the modes of water sector are perfect, it is urgent to improve the technology management.

Jiang Chao (the president of Golden State Environment Group) stated that market is very important in the government reform. He convinced that market will be more important, and will bring more opportunities for the water companies. China has to improve its environment, and these are the opportunities that reform has brought for the business companies.

Sun Minghua ( the executive of Sino-French Water) talked about the road of current water sector in China, and stated that whatever the mode is, so long as it can bring win-win, it is a good mode.

Wen Yibo (the president of Sound Group) thought industry chain is at most one of the current business mode. Now it is not certain to be main mode, but the joint between enterprises should be an trend.

Chaper Two--The debate on China’s water sector mode innovation

The water sector reform has gone through twenty years, has experienced mainly three stages of development: the first stage is mainly on foreign capital; and the second stage is local enterprises rise, and today China’s water sector is in the third stage, that is development from traditional enterprises to capital market. How to introduce innovation mode in China’s water sector has been an focus.

Yu Jian (the president of Shenzhen Water Sector Group) stated that as a city, the integration for water supply and drainage is good for the operation of urban water supply and drainage. She pointed out that for an enterprise the diversity of ownership deals with several problems as follows: one is the change of ownership; another is the qualified supervision; the last is introducing scientific management and make the decision more scientific.

Liu Zhenghong (the general manager of China Water Investment Co.,Ltd) was positive about the market exploration in recent 10 years. He stated that enterprises should start with the raw water, from the water resource in collaboration? with local governments to carry out exploration.

Gu Qifeng (the general manager of Tianjin Capital Environment) stated that under the market reform, the service nature of water sector is more obvious and important. He said, in the field of industrial wastewater treatment, with the requirement of national energy reduction, the water treatment company gains an opportunity,? and the service need of industry enterprises will increase.

Xue Tao (the president of GT Consulting Co.Ltd) stated that innovation demand is much stronger for consulting companies than operation companies. There are six consulting agencies, which provide communication between investors and government, and good service for the standardized operation.

Chaper Three--Presidents discuss the industrial chain of market mode

With the water sector development and the diversity of industries entity, such as investment, engineering, operation, design, and consulting companies on the industry chain are gradually growing, different nature and different sizes of industrial enterprises share the fast-growing water market.

Li Huiming (the general manager of the UEPI) stated that, the enterprise itself should first fulfil the duties and do what it should do. Meanwhile water enterprises provide services for the community and have a great social responsibility and obligation.

Chen Xuexiang (the general manager of Anhui Guozhen Environment) stated that government and country should promote the industry process, encourage innovation in policy and fund, and actively guide the investors in the market. He said that a lot of unprofessional companies have entered the water sector, how to make full use of their advantages into water sector, turn the professional advantages into project operation advantages are worth further considering.

Dong Ruiping (the president of ITT China) talked about the development of China’s water sector, from the view of an equipment supply, he stated that suppliers should play a role to improve the industry technical, and provide higher quality products and better service for water sector.
